In December 2001, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted the first of several patents (U.S. Patent Nos. 6,330,551, 6,850,918, 6,954,741, and 7,249,114) that protect Debt Resolve's automated, online dispute resolution method and system. The named inventors on each of these patents are James D. Burchetta and Charles S. Brofman. Mr. Burchetta is the Chairman and Founder of Debt Resolve. Mr. Brofman is the President and CEO of Cybersettle, Inc. which he and Mr. Burchetta co-founded and which is now the leader in web facilitated claim settlement. Debt Resolve has an exclusive license under these patents, and under patents which are issued or pending in numerous other countries around the world, in the field of resolving disputes related to the collection of consumer debt.
